In this episode I delve into a powerful concept that’s been a cornerstone of our discussions: the true source of our emotions. Contrary to the common belief that our feelings are influenced by external events, I explore the idea that they actually reflect the nature of our thoughts. This "inside-out understanding" suggests that we don't experience emotions because of what's happening around us, but because of what thoughts happen to be in our head in that moment. For instance, during a performance, feelings of nervousness or self-consciousness are not indicators of poor performance, but simply one of many emotional ‘flavors’ we experience. Recognizing this can be incredibly freeing—instead of scrambling to adjust our actions in response to how we feel, we can accept these feelings as part of the natural landscape of performing or simply being alive. This shift away from judging our emotional states as good or bad allows us to engage more fully with life and maintain our focus on our actions. Ultimately, the possibility of this conversation is to realize that we don't need to be afraid of our own experience of life.

Inevitably Great
What if one insight could make performing at your best inevitable, every single time?
The difference between thriving and struggling is in the reality you see in the moment.
Not your character, not your mental strength, not luck, not your experience, not your story, not your personality. Only whatever happens to look real to you there and then.
This is why one insight can change your life forever, by changing your relationship with that reality.
Good news: you're an insight machine. You only need to know where to look.
